Alexanderplatz

close

It’s the economy, stupid! With the German parliamentary elections just around the corner, we are analyzing the economic policies of the major parties with Michael Bröcker, one of the most prominent political journalists in the country. What concepts will be used to successfully transform the economy? What is being said publicly – and what is being kept secret? What role does climate protection really play? How important is construction in federal politics?

From the big picture to the specific: There have been plans for high-rise buildings at Alexanderplatz for around 30 years. Is their realization a necessary symbol of economic strength, indispensable for a capital city? Are high-rise buildings still appropriate from a sustainability perspective – or even indispensable for increased inner development? How many public-interest uses should they integrate? What can we afford?

An evening that combines the big picture with one of Berlin’s central places.
